DOMINANT FLORA OF PALI-DISTRICT, RAJASTHAN, INDIA

AbstractAn account of the vegetation of Pali-district, along with a list of Angiosperm taxa comprising 362 species belonging to 260 genera spread over 78 families is given in this paper. Herbs are dominated flora followed by trees, shrubs, climbers and epiphytes. In the present paper an attempt has been made to ascertain the current status of the flora in all possible area of Pali-district. Fabaceae was the most dominant family of the area followed by Poaceae and Asteraceae. The local folk conservational strategies adapted by tribals and rural people of this district have also been discussed in this paper along with proper conservation and management of plants.
